This air and liquid-cool engine includes two cylinders, one counterbalance shaft, two overhead spur-gear drove camshafts, electronic intake pipe injection, and BMW ShiftCam variable intake camshaft control. When paired with a Cardan shaft drive, constant mesh six-speed transmission, and multi-plate oil bath clutch, the R 1250 RS delivers up to 136 horsepower and 105 lb.-ft of torque.
