The 1,254 cc, 2023 BMW R 1250 R is outfitted with a BMW Motorrad four-stroke boxer, two-cylinder, air and liquid-cooled engine. This robust engine combines electronic intake pipe injection, two overhead spur-gear-driven camshafts, BMS-O with throttle-by-wire, and BMW ShiftCam variable intake camshaft control. This all mates with a six-speed constant mesh transmission with a multiple oil bath clutch to produce up to 136 horsepower and 105 lb.-ft of torque.
